Terms and Conditions 
Booking & Registration

  • All owners complete requested registration forms for all services
  • Vaccinations or titre testing  (but not including kennel cough) need to be up to date for all dogs at time of booking
  • Dogs may not attend training within 2 weeks of kennel cough vaccination if the owner has elected for dog to have it
  • By booking an owner is committing to payment in full for the relevant service
Payment 
  • We accept by BACS by arrangement 
  • All payments are per dog
  • Any discounts are at our discretion
  • Credit is not available 
  • Refunds are not available except in exceptional circumstances
Payment for 1-2-1 Training
  • Payment for the first session is required to confirm the booking
  • 1-2-1 Training is chargeable at £50 per hour within a 10-mile radius
  • Puppy Starter package visits are chargeable at £250 within a 10-mile radius
  • Travel costs are payable at a rate of 50p per mile each way outside a 10-mile radius from the trainer's home which shall be pre-agreed 
  • Payment for subsequent sessions is to be made in advance unless pre-agreed
Payment for Behavioural Consultation:
  • A deposit of £125 is due upon booking and in advance of the initial Video/Phone consultation
  • The remaining balance of £125 is due in advance of the date of in person session
  • The total of £250 cover the initial online consultation, referral of veterinary records if applicable & 1 in-person consultation
  • Fuel costs outside a 10-mile radius are chargeable at 50p per mile, each way from the trainer's home, to be agreed beforehand
  • Payment for subsequent sessions is to be made in advance unless pre-agreed
  • Refunds are not available

 General Terms & Conditions
  • Dog welfare is paramount. Anything that may cause harm, or Canine Manners/its representative deems to be harmful to the dog is not permitted
  • All techniques carried out by us are fair and reward based
  • No choke chains, shock collars, pet corrector sprays or other aversive training tools or techniques are permitted. If in doubt about any equipment or for advice pertaining to this please speak to us
  • You are the legal owner / care giver of the dog. For the purposes of these Terms & Conditions, 'Owner' shall mean the legal care giver of the dog
  • Extendable leads are not to be used in training
  • Dogs in training are to be kept on a lead unless otherwise instructed by us
  • Whilst training on land owned by any council, authority or private individual you commit to adhere to their rules
  • 1-2-1 Training sessions are not suitable for behavioural issues where behavioural consultation/modification is required.     Issues which will be treated undebehaviour consultation only may include but are not limited to the following: Separation anxiety/isolation distress, resource guarding, compulsive / obsessive / abnormal repetitive behaviours, reactivity / aggression towards animals, people or other another stimuli,  self-mutilation, destructive behaviours, excessive barking, hyperactivity, fearfulness, phobias, problems with the inclusion or new family members or new pets. 
  • We will behave in a professional and appropriate manner and will recommend the  services most suitable and appropriate for your dog's well being.  If an issue can be dealt with in training sessions it will be. We will seek the most effective solution for you and seek to provide the most long-term cost-effective solution
  • Any injury to a dog is the sole responsibility of the owner
  • The behaviour and actions of a dog is the sole responsibility of the owner
  • We cannot be held liable for any injuries incurred to the handler/owner
  • Any children are the sole responsibility of the adult they are attending with. People under the age of 16 (sixteen) must be accompanied by an adult
  • The owner is responsible for cleaning up after their dogs in all group classes.
  • All dogs must be microchipped with the details registered on a government approved database. This is a legal requirement.
  • All dogs must be wearing a tag with contact details. This is a legal requirement. 
  • The owner is responsible for any damage caused to the venue/training location by themselves or their dog and any damage shall be paid for in full by the owner within 24 hours.
  • The owner is responsible for maintaining control of their dog at all times. 
  • Unless otherwise confirmed in writing with us you confirm your dog is not subject to a court order or legal proceedings and is not subject to any restrictions under the Dangerous Dogs Act. 
  • Should you have any doubt if training may be cancelled please contact us.
  • No smoking is allowed.
  • Please ensure you arrive in plenty of time for your class and at the pre-agreed time for other bookings  to avoid any disruption and distracting dogs already working (please don’t panic if you are late).
  • Comments or complaints: We take pride in our work and in providing the highest  level of service. If you have any comments or complaints please speak to us or email us at [email protected].  Your comments and complaints will be dealt with fairly and thoroughly,  and in confidence.
  • These Terms & Conditions are subject to change at the sole discretion of Canine Manners.  
  • You  authorise Canine Manners, The Barkley, Luci Sanan and Pierre Sanan are permitted to use any photos taken by a representative for the purposes of marketing on social media unless otherwise expressed by the owner in writing.   

*It is always advisable to consult your vet before starting any programme of activity.  We would also recommend a thorough health check to screen for heart abnormalities, joint problems and any undetected congenital and hereditary health problems. It is an owner’s responsibility to ensure that their dog is fit and healthy and that activities are appropriate for their dog*.
