Make an Entrance, Then Soften the Space

The first brief was bold: create a striking, lasting first impression in the reception area – greenery dramatic enough to complement the facility's upscale, modern design while bringing calm to a clinical setting. As the project progressed, the brief evolved to bring that same natural warmth to the building's window line and communal surfaces, without competing with the original centrepiece.

Scale, Realism and Restraint

The reception called for a genuinely lifelike 13ft (4m) tree – one indistinguishable from the real thing, engineered to fit the space without overwhelming it. The second phase presented the opposite challenge: working at a much smaller scale, with low-level window planters and tabletop planting that needed to feel considered and cohesive rather than incidental, tying back to the tone the original tree had set.

A Layered Approach to Greenery

For phase one, Green Envee designed and installed a bespoke 13ft artificial tree with realistic branches, leaves and bark, becoming a genuine focal point of the reception.

For phase two, we introduced a run of low-level planters along the window line, alongside a series of tabletop planters throughout the space – softening sightlines, framing the view to the street, and extending the same natural, welcoming feel beyond the reception into the wider facility.

Together, the two phases demonstrate how greenery can operate at every scale within a single project – from a single towering statement piece to the quieter, considered details that pull a whole design together.
